Box Art Betterment: Terminator Salvation

by Derrek Lucas

SalvationToo many games are released with plain, uninspired, and entirely uninteresting box art that fails to capture the attention of a potential passerby. With Box Art Betterment, we’re trying to improve on this absence of artistic excellence by re-imagining the original artists vision with a bit of flair. Each week, DownWriteFierce will be taking a lame game box and giving it an injection of awesome. Our ultimate aim is that publishers realize that their totally boring boxes suck, so that we no longer have to come up with ways to improve on their missteps. At this rate, it could be a while.

Well a week has passed, and it’s time for my loyal readers to learn of my true passion, Christian bale movies where he isn’t doing a bad Clint Eastwood impression.

With the upcoming release of the sure to be awesome Terminator movie, comes a sure to be disappointing game based on the movie. But that’s not what my articles about. Who am I to judge a game that has yet to be Released? It’s my job to judge the yet to be released games box art, and I can’t help but be angered by this example. Not wholly because of the awesome robot that still manages to bore me, But because of the name of the Game itself, and how the art does not reflect it at all.

Everybody knows that there’s only one road to salvation, and in order to offer it through this game a certain robot is going to need a serious makeover!
