Printed: May 2010 Edition

Meghan and I aren’t just bloggers, you know. I mean, sure, we love our little website here. It allows a lot of freedom and flexibility to do, well, whatever the hell we want. From time to time, though — and by this I mean monthly — we contribute to print magazines covering the gaming industry. From GamePro to Official Xbox Magazine and PlayStation: The Official Magazine, we at DownWriteFierce are doing our best to take over the print industry. Here’s what you can read from us on newsstands this month:
In the May issue of Official Xbox Magazine, Meghan previews the delightful DS strategy game, Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, which is making its way to Xbox Live Arcade right quick, here. She also reviews XBLA’s Lazy Raiders alongside my reviews of Just Cause 2 and Dragon Age Origins: Awakening. My feature from last month, 40 Thing We Love About the Xbox 360, just hit OXMOnline this week, too. Meghan and I both cap off the issue with a feature — Ms. Watt covers charity in “The Gift of Games” and I feed you some great Games For Windows titles to help stack your Gamerscore in the Score Lore column!
In this month’s GamePro (Splinter Cell: Conviction is on the cover) I review Battlefield Bad Company 2, which I still adore almost two months later. In the Lord of the Rings: War in the North issue of PTOM, you can check a delightfully fun feature I wrote about PlayStation 2 games’ quality versus their box art’s insinuations. I loved writing that thing, and I think it turned out quite well!
